Signs You Need an Electrician

If your lights are dimming, making buzzing sounds, or flickering on and off there could be a need to modernize your wiring.

You may also experience this if you have too much electricity drawing on the circuit, or if the circuit has become faulty.

If your light switch is buzzing, has stopped working, or seems to give a small shock when you touch it, this indicates you should get someone to look into it right away, as there could be a serious fault.

Common Circuit Breaker Issues

If your circuit breaker keeps on tripping you may have a number of issues taking place.  It may be an appliance causing your issues, an arc fault, wires touching, or just an old and outdated electrical panel. We regularly replace and upgrade panels, so we can certainly help with these types of issues.

Dead Outlets or warm/hot outlets

If your outlets have stopped working, it’s typically one of a few causes: tripped fuses, faults in the wiring, or faults in the outlet.

If the outlet is warm, hot, or shocks you when using it you should stop using it immediately.

High Electric Bills

If your electric bill seems to suddenly be higher than what you’re used to, there could be a few reasons to call an electrician. It may be caused by a fault in your wiring, a fault in an electrical circuit, or old appliances drawing more current than they should.

Rewiring / Remodeling / Upgrades

Lastly, older homes may need to have their wiring, panels, or service upgraded. This is particularly common in homes more than 50 years old.
